Women of Color and Accomplishment was started as a result of my research into the BLM movement in 2020. Learning about many African American women who have done incredible things despite major obstacles, I decided to honor these women by painting their portraits.
The first book was published in 2021 and contains portraits and brief bios of 31 African American women who have achieved much but may not have gotten the acknowledgement that they deserve. The second edition of the book was published in October, 2022.
The second book, Women of Color and Accomplishment: Fighting for Equality was published October 1, 2022.
The third book, Women of Color and Accomplishment: Doing the Right Thing will be published March, 2024
